the non violent resistance center in israel is opening its gates to practitioners for training seminars in non violent resistance that will be conducted by prof. haim omer and a team of psychologists working at the parent counseling unit (pcu) in schneider's hospital, israel.
ziele
originally, the non violent resistance therapy was developed by prof. omer as a parent training model for parents of children with behavioral problems. over the past few years, prof. omer and the team of the non violent resistance center have developed new theoretical directions and several adaptations of the model to different situations.
inhalte
the center invites you to take part in training seminars that will present the new developments in the field of non violent resistance:
- "the new authority"- new theoretical developments in the field of non violent resistance will be presented by prof. haim omer.
- workshops on the adaptations of the nvr model to other situations:
- working with parents of children with anxiety disorders
- working with parents of children with chronic physical illness and non- compliance to medical treatment, for instance: diabetes, cf, etc.
- working with parents of children with school refusal.
- working with victims of violence.
- working with schools (staff, parents and students) and community.
- new research data will be presented and new research directions will be explored.
- the next seminar is at: 2-5/6/08
- the seminars will be conducted in israel.
- the seminars will be held in english.
